Board of directors & leadership

Tim serves as Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking for Thrivent Credit Union. He has overall leadership for commercial banking, commercial loan operations and treasury management. He joined Thrivent Financial Bank in 2004 as VP Commercial Banking with the task of building a business banking area.

Over time, he expanded his leadership to include building out commercial policies and procedures, and overseeing all commercial banking. He also led the development of a treasury management area and the developed the loan administration functions within business banking. Tim's oversight included functions such as: appraisal and environmental processes, construction disbursing, commercial loan documentation, regulatory compliance for commercial banking, loan dissolution, vendor relationships, treasury management and lender credit analysis.

Tim has more than 25 years of banking experience and has held various leadership positions with Marquette Bank, NA, TCF Bank NA, and Community Credit Company. He earned a MBA degree from the University of St. Thomas. Prior to that he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from St. Cloud State University. In ongoing education he received a certificate of completion of Commercial Cashflow Analysis from the Graduate School of Commercial Banking (Minnesota Bankers Association).

Tim lives in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys volunteering and spending time with family and friends. Prior volunteer Board of Directors roles include: the Animal Humane Society and the North West YMCA.
